ANAGLY – Anaglyph Image

Instrument:High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment

PDS Data Set ID: N/A, offered in Extras portion of HiRISE archive

For more information about HiRISE ANAGLY products, see the HiRISE Anaglyphs Help Document.

The High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) Anaglyph Image (ANAGLY) products are produced with stereo pairs at 8-bits/pixel with a lossy compression factor of 2.66. Images are projected in the polar stereographic projection so that the vertical edge (of one of the images) remains vertical in the projected image. North is about 7 degrees to the right of up. Products are scaled to 25 cm/pixel if they contain any CCDs acquired at full resolution, 50cm/pixel if all CCDs were binned 2x2, or 100cm/pixel for bin 4x4 imaging. Anaglyph products are useful in making small-scale topographic measurements, essential both to characterization of candidate landing sites and to the quantitative study of surface processes.

HiRISE ANAGLY products have the following file names:

xxx_xxxxxx_xxxx_yyy_yyyyyy_yyyy_RED_ANAGLYPH.JP2 (with detached PDS label)

where:

xxx_xxxxxx_xxxx = mission phase, orbit number, and target code from the first source Product ID

yyy_yyyyyy_yyyy = mission phase, orbit number, and target code from the second source Product ID

In ODE, ANAGLY products have the following Product IDs:

XXX_XXXXXX_XXXX_YYY_YYYYYY_YYYY_RED_ANAGLYPH
